My heart rate still has not returned to normal. I watched it again and seriously hope thats a Ford powerplant in there. The shape of the air intake and box has me concerned.

Is K & N aware of the fact that is is supposed to be a "street car?" I have a great deal of respect for Agent 47 and plan to work with them on a few things. I've seen the car in person and it is a serious piece of engineering. It is built to Race in American Iron though, and makes Brian's second gen, which some complained about not being street car enough, look like a grocery getter.

It has a 5.0 Coyote motor in it. Wouldn't want you to have a heart attack.

You can't be actually surprised at this can you? Everyone saw this coming years ago.... it's just a little more each year....
If it's licensed and registered and can make the drive I guess....
Regardless, these cars are awesome. :Tomcat:
And a 1:42 at Laguna Seca is FAST... for a street car.... :stirthepot:

Oh, and Matt, at least it runs in AIX (X = Extreme) so therefore it is more of an extreme street car. :D

I'm not surprised this is happening. I've seen the car up close and it is cool as hell, and if I had the opportunity I wouldn't hesitate to race this car around. I look forward to seeing it out on the track in November, and it will be fun to see how my fat overpowered car with big street tires stacks up against an American Iron car that has less weight, less power, and street tires instead of Hoosiers.
What are we going to see next year?

F-14s are too big and heavy... They would be like taking Rob's Torino to Optima this year.

Really:headscratch: I guess I can see the resemblance between the Torino born in 1968 and an F14 first built in 1970. Similar power to weight ratio and performance.
Here is the view a Camaro would see.

Some pictures (not mine) of the design and fab work on the car. I went over to visit and discuss having them build a roll cage for me and they showed me around the car. For those building Mustangs, Agent 47 is always accommodating and willing to work to put something together.

If I had tags and plates and the opportunity to run the car at OUSCI, I would too! It is still a race car though.

It's not an excuse, I'm just trying to lower my own expectations so that if I do okay I will surprise myself.
