I saw this 1969 Camaro at SEMA, it was outside under the Magnaflow tent.
What I'm really interested in is what suspension is used up front, I see the ZR1 OEM wheel and ceramic breaks. That ZR1 wheel backspace is way out there, and I can’t find anyone's subframe / suspension working with that wheel offset.
here is a link to a pick I found later online.
Thanks in advance for you help

Any subframe using C5/C6 parts will use wheel offsets like that. It's probably a DSE or AME.

I don't think those are ZL1 wheels. Here's a pic of the ZL1 wheels:

Thanks for the replys
The ZR1 Front wheel is a 19X10 +40mm offset (7.1" backspace)
I called DSE verbally they said no. Although I did not get their recomended "wheel backspace" (if anyone knows please post)
SpeedTech recomeneded max width is 9.5" with +32mm (6.5" backspace)
Thats about 5/8" diffrence, not sure if that will be a problem, cuz I have never suffed fat rubber under a 69.
If anyone has experiance otherwise please chime-in and let me know.
Im years in the Corvette world, and just stepping in to my 1st 1969 Camaro Pro touring build.
thanks

DSE recommends a max of 6.125

I'm running an 18x10 w 6.9 bs on my 69 with an Art Morrison sub. Not sure if a 19" wheel would complicate things as its pretty close now.

If you had a 1" spacer made for the fronts, you could run that wheel with a 275/30/19 and it would be roughly the same height as a 275/35/18, I think.

Yes Matt they are.
Also maybe Charley will chime back in but he has the ZR1 wheels front and back on Jackass.

I'm running an 18x10 with a 6.750 back space on my DSE subframe.

Really? Did you have to put steering limiters in the rack? I had 6.5" backspacing on my wheels when I first got my car done and the wheels would hit the control arms when I tried to get to full lock. The problem might have been worsened by how low the car was sitting though. Still I've never seen anyone run that much backspacing.

Thanks everyone for your post, it’s very helpful
Looks like AME subframe is the one for me.
I little background as to why going this direction, and why it’s important to me. For my corvette's I have had wheels from 360 Forged, HRE, etc. issue on the track is they are not all that light. Now, Forgeline's comp series are light, as well as OZ (19x10 23lb)
One piece wheels don’t come any old offset you want as you well know.
But almost every wheel manufacturer that makes a light wheel offers them in C6 Corvette sizes.
So if tracking you ride and going fast is in your plans, eventually as you start cutting away all the things that slow you down, eventually wheel weight will be on the list. I would rather address it now then later.
If you are interested in reading a cool thread on taking something to an extreme, look at this thread over at the corvette forum.
Many of you know Jason at Katech and Jim Hall, well they had a competition as to who could lighten their Z06 the most.
Check it out..

Talk to Jason up there - he owns the place. I saw the car last summer, I think they build their own frames. Good luck!
