Don't know anyone personally. But, I heard from forums and other guys who knew someone who ran it that is't not all cracked up to what's it supposed to be. Especially, not at the price of $6k. There are far better trannys out there.

The 6L80 is better in my opinion. Although, I have one, I don't have it installed into my truck yet and it won't be for a couple of years until I get to restoring my truck. There are certain perimeters you have to keep with the 6L80E, such as DBW, 58 tooth reluctor and if I'm not mistaken....E38 computer.

its a 4L80 that uses the overdrive clutch pack/modified to use the solidoinds to make it 6 speeds by using 2nd gear and overdrive and third gear and overdrive to make it 6 actual gears but it still retains the final drive ratio of the 4L80 which is .075 to 1
