View Full Version : Nova for fathers day
Been a while since I have been on here. Got laid off 6 months ago so I had to put my project " torino 10" on hold. Besides working on a Ridler car for 2014 I built this Nova for a friend. His Dad doesn't know about it and he will get a big surprise at a car show this sunday, fathers day. Its at the upholstery shop now getting an interior upgrade.
A short list of the credentials:
GM crate motor 525HP LS
Hurst Driveline T56 kit
Ford 9"
Mini tubs
Custom torque arm rr susp.
Strongarms with air bags up front
Wilwood 6 piston frt 4 piston rr brake kit
Revolution guages
Aeromotive fuel pump in a modified stock tank
Custom 2.5" SS exhaust
plus a million little things

And so will the tears. I'm mean, I'm pretty sure a Father's Day gift like this would bring any man to tears and probably to his knees too. Good looking car. :trophy-1302:

Very nice job. Would love to have more detail about the engine, headers, engine mounts, accessory drive used. Did you use the GM harness kit that comes with pedal, ECU, fuse panel etc?

Looks great!
Jay Hilliard, We used a GM crate motor, a 525hp ls3. The FI is the GM kit for that engine with the throttle pedal and so is the front acc. drive. The motor mounts are DSE parts and the headers are Stainless Works. The rad is from PRC.
The computer and fuse box are mounted in the front of the pass. fender. The wiring harness is the original stock part, it was in excellent shape like the rest of the car.
Thanks for the compliments.
Pick up the parts Steve and we will "git er dun".
I went to the presentation at the Qualicum car show on Vancouver Island. The story was put on the news that evening. This is the link to the video.
