Fronts have Willwood 6 pistons and the rears are Willwood 4's. I was told that 18x8.5 should have a back space of 5.0"? I'm not sure if thats correct or not?

I've also been told that 18x8.5 fronts will require 5.25", 5.35", or 5.5" not exactly sure which to go with but I've contacted CCW, HRE, and have done tons of research and can't get any straight forward answers. I plan on using a 255/40/18 on the front as well as a 285/40/18 in the rear.

Your not going to get a straight answer... it's an old car with aftermarket parts.

If you are purchasing custom wheels, recommend you have all four wheel openings measured.

Wilwood 6-piston like the Forged Narrow Superlite 6R? If so, then the track width change for the 140-9804 brake kits is +.38" per side relative to the OE track width. Ride height is the next thing to consider along with tire size/diameter since the two will both play a part in fitment, so measuring your fitment or mocking things up really would be your best bet.

My guess is that 5" BS won't be enough given your brakes and assuming a 245/255 tire with 25"+ diameter. You can always space a wheel outward to compensate for too much BS...going the other way is a bit tougher.

Not at all...I said 5" BS won't be enough, and I'm not even sure that 5.25" BS will be enough either given the track width increase of the Wilwood brakes, especially considering that you're running a relatively large, 26" tall tire up front.

Given the cost of the wheels you're considering, I still think that there's no replacement for measuring and/or getting a tire fitment tool. My best guess is that you're going to end up in the 5.38" to 5.50" BS range and possibly still have rubbing unless you limit your turn radius and massage your inner fenderwells and outer lip. Your alignment settings, particularly how much static negative camber you run, will factor in somewhat as well.

I'm pretty sure Forgeline will loan you the tire fitment tool if you're buying their wheels, so it could be worth a call to those guys since every 1/16" in your case is going to count.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with Foregline instead of HRE. Ill give them call this week and thanks so much Tobin!
