The FORMULA 43 Team had a great time this last Saturday at Mark Stielow's annual car party and saw many impressive cars. One that obviously stood out to us is, Gordon Rojewski's 1967 Pro-Touring Camaro that is in a roller state and soon to be completed.

Gordon's Camaro features a fresh set of the RAD 10 wheels with our Laguna Gray centers, polished and clear coated outer rims and black inner rims.

Wheel/Tire Fitment:

Front: 10.0X18, 275/35-18 Goodyear Eagle F1 (fender is pulled out about a ¼” and inner fender lip rolled)

Rear: 12.0X19, 325/30-19 Goodyear Eagle F1 (inner fender lip is rolled)

This is the same tire and wheel fitment as Stielow's Red Devil and Mayhem Camaro's.

The Camaro also has the complete Detroit Speed suspension package front and rear, mini tubs, a 700HP Thomson Automotive LS7 naturally aspirated, Tremec 6-speed and a full set of monster Brembo brakes.

I believe Gordon will not paint the car for a few years and leave the original Marina, patina paint on it as the car had little rust. Metal work was done by Sled Alley.

***Gordon, we need a build thread from you! :flag2:

I saw those pics in Marks thread. What a cool car, the wheels really stand out! I'd be inclined to leave the paint as-is, would make the ultimate driver/track car.

Nice understated look with the wheels plus adding just a little shine.

I completely agree, go with the pro patina touring theme.

I caught that too. Its probably a 18" tire.

Do you know the backspace on the wheels?

Thanks

Thanks guys! The plan is to paint the engine compartment and underbody and leave the patina alone. Something different and as Jody mentioned, will make for a great driver/track car. Special thanks to Travis at Formula43 for ideas on the wheel style and color. I'm fortunate to live only a few miles from their shop so it's very cool to see how they machine and build their wheels.

The photo below is from the day I received it from El Paso. A nice, dry, (basically) rust free old Camaro :)

Front = 10.0X18 6.25" backspacing.

The wheel/tire package is the same is Mayhem.

:thankyou:

*Gordon, thanks for your for your support! We look forward to seeing the finished Camaro soon!

I like it Gordon!

The surprise/wow factor of walking up to that car in the pits or at an event will be off the charts. Focusing your resources on the engine compartment, underbody, trunk, and interior with historic paint and killer drivetrain and suspension will really spin people. While paint adds to a car's look, it limits most owners desire to use them...........properly.

Gordon,

I have had many dreams of finding a perfectly patina'd Camaro and this is it.

You sir have built my Dream Car.

I hope you never change the paint and please if you ever decide to sell it please think of me.

It's amazing what the right wheels will do, also. I love that wheel..

Will it make Motor State or any other events later this year since no paint?

Doesn't hurt to ask..:D

Please do!!! I absolutely love that car. I can't say it enough, the patina is so nice. Its not for everyone, but I'm so glad Gordon preserved it. Personally, my favorite color for patina is a light blue and its marina blue for the win! I have spent countless hours searching for something liike that.

Thanks for the accolades guys! My wife Liz and I had a great time on Power Tour. Met lots of nice folks, hung out with great friends, saw tons of cool cars and ate way too much.

Last weekend, I entered my '67 in the Optima USCA Michigan International Speedway Event and had a blast. It was an awesome feeling to be able to race it for the first time and experience the thrill of that track!

Great photos Marty. Thanks for sharing 'em!

When was this in Hot Rod?

It wasn't in the magazine. The Hot Rod "cover" poster was part of being a feature car in the Pilot Transport display while on the Tour. Mike Finnegan did stop by to chat and check out the car. I'd love to have it actually in Hot Rod. That's a bucket list item. :)

Seems like a no brainer for Hot Rod or Car Craft. They are always looking for something a little different. What's not to love about your car?

Then again, we know they don't like Camaros.... ;)

Hey Gordon, love the car. I got to see it on the Hot Rod Powertour. I would like to know who makes the shifter boot or is it custom made? Do you think the boot would fit on a Hurst shift lever?
