I agree with you, Joe. The cars are the stars of the movie just as much as the actors. Sure the action/driving sequences are impossible but they were impossible in Hooper, Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, The Dukes of Hazard, etc etc. and that didn't stop people from enjoying them or liking the cars then either. I'm not expecting a cinematic master piece but I know I'll be entertained none the less.

A replica, yes? Doesn't that Mustang in the movie get totaled?

Ha, I'm sure Matt's not down for any damage to that car :)

I like watching them for the car driving scenes where it isn't cgi. I think it was Rhys Millen (sp?) who did the driving in that parking garage scene going up the spiral rampway.

Yep, it was everything I thought it would be :D

I am surprised though that it got a certified fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. I figured they would pan it as usual.

The first is still the best for me but this one is good. 2 was the worst.

I actually came back to add that there are a lot of great lines in this movie. The humor and the character interaction between the crew is great. Very funny but you have to listen close or you might miss some of the lines.

Steve Strope who built the Anvil Mustang got my car in the movie. He's had other cars in movies including "Hammer" in a couple Fast and Furious movies. They made some replicas of my car and shipped them, and the real Anvil Mustang, to Europe to shoot the movie. My car is back and in one piece and I just saw the movie today. I think it was the best one even though my car get's crushed by a tank. You can't take these movies too seriously. They're just for fun. You can't pack much more action into a couple hours. Very entertaining!

This was definitely the best in the series and the cars in this one were awesome. It was exciting to see two cars from this forum in the movie, glad to hear they made it home unscathed. More movie people should start checking out this site because it is home to most of the baddest cars out there.

Did you all stay after the first bunch of credits? Setting it up for Fast 7 movie.
They are really starting to get some decent actors in these movies.

Vin has already said something along the lines of the next three will be their own sort of story arc/trilogy. Considering how much money they make on these movies, I'm not surprised they are still planning to make more of them.

Pre production is August. The release date is July 11, 2014. Paramount has told them to get a move on for the next one lol.

It will take place in Tokyo, the Middle East and Los Angeles.

Just went and saw this. I'm a little bit disappointed that the show has gone away from the racing theme and turned into die hard with a few cars thrown in. Just my 2c.

If you're going to have your car get taken out in a movie- being crushed by a tank is a cool way to go... I'm just glad they didn't switch 'em up and give you back a replica, ha ha

Did you get to see the replica cars up close? I'd be interested to see pics of them/ see how well they were assembled compared to your actual car.

I agree to an extent. I mean, the lead bad guy was a former SAS soldier yet he gets his ass kicked by a street racing punk, albeit a well built one? Wouldn't happen that way in real life. Not even a chance. Thankfully though, going semi Die Hard allowed for the inclusion of Gina Carano's character. So hot!

Lol and 4 cars can bring down a plane bigger than a C130, and the runway was 20 miles long and the Rock's truck can keep up with an M5 which can keep up with a tube chassis race car lol!

Of course not but it makes for a really fun movie. :D
