I've had a Motorola I580 flip phone for ever. Recently I got a letter from Sprint stating that Sprint would no longer be carrying my service and I could no longer use my phone this coming June and would have to get another one.
Long story short I now have an I Phone 4S. I would have gotten the 4 but you can talk your texts into the 4S(I'm sure everybody here knows that).

Anyhow, dont know what the hell took me so long. These things are awesome!!

Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Proven fact

Dont worry Sieg.....that will never happen in the orange car.

Funny though, everybody in my family and all my friends have had I phones for awhile now and I swore I'd never break away from my flip phone. I feel like I got pushed into getting one but now that I have one I'm having alot of fun. My 10 year old daughter was texting me all morning and when I would text back all her responses had LOL after them. She's not used to getting texts from dear old dad.

They aren't the best phone by any means..... But everything else, they are awesome!! LOL!! Hard to beat the reception and quality of a "dumb phone", but you are hooked now!! I don't even use a computer anymore except:computer: for work!!

They sure are nice... I was totally against them too until I had to borrow one when my phone broke. Hooked since. Although, I'm seriously considering going the galaxy S4 route soon. But haven't decided yet for sure.

I cant imagine a whole lot of difference between brands with each company basically being able to access the same apps as each other all through the same means(internet, satelites, etc...)
We(the fam) went with an AT&T group rate so the phones were free only I paid extra for the S model and my son paid extra for the I Phone 5 but he's going to sell his 4 to cover that.

The nice thing is that it is a very competitive market right now so the deals are out there.

The technology is amazing. I have a Droid Razr Maxx HD that's incredible, the phone sound quality is as good as a house wired phone and the battery lasts for 2 days!!

I know.....I just figured out how the microphone works so I now can send texts without punching the key board. This is crazy cool.

I just sent three texts to Dave. He's proably doing this right now :hairpullout:

Yup. the iPhone is an awesome computer with a mediocre phone attached to it!
I prefer the Galaxy S3 that I personally own to the 4S I have through work, mostly because I can hook it up to this and do all kinds of cool stuff...

Not to mention much better call quality.

Still havent decided on the new S4 or iPhone 5, or just wait. I am getting tired of how slow my iPhone 4 is. :D

I do have an iPhone/iPod dock compatible stereo unit in my DD (literally has an Iphone dock that pops out). Pretty neat. But with my case it doesnt fit, so i use the USB port instead and use the dock to "hold" my phone. So i guess it doesnt matter which way I go in that sense.

Not sure I'm ready to switch to the Google community from the Apple community as far as apps go (although I'm quite intertwined in the Google community for everything else on the web). I wish i could really just get my hands on a Galaxy device for a week or to and just learn it, then figure out what to do.
