I had a few inquiries about this ad on Ebay. I sold the car a few years ago and talked to the current owner this morning. This car is NOT for sale. Another scumbag trying to rip someone off.

Steve, even though I don't know the original owner, we are a brotherhood here, so I sent the scumbag a message on eBay. F#@king scumbags make me sick always trying to rip someone off or steal something from someone else who works hard for a living. :warning: :warning: Message I sent him follows:

WTF...dude...really? I know this is a scam. I know who built this car and know the owner and just talked to him and this car isn't for sale. You'd better get your stuff straight.

Make sure you report it as a fraudulent listing through Ebay. I sent a report, helps if there's multiple reports.

I hate this S..T. This has happened to me 5 times on Ebay and it takes way to long for them to pull the ad off. I try not to advretise any more and just work with the people I know. Ive had people pull my ad off Craigs List and put it up on Ebay and i have even seen a car I sold a couple of years ago on Ebay up for sale and had the owner call me on it.

they are pretty stupid to leave the EBMC license plate on the car and list it on Ebay. The bid is only up to $290.00.. lol seems like a good deal

Any person in their right mind could look at a car of this build quality and know that the bid wouldn't start at $290. That coupled with the fact of the seller having a "0" feedback. If someone were to send this a$$hole money, they are dumber than a box of rocks. :snapout:

Thanks guys! The ironic thing is, because of the Ebay posting, we may be building one very similar for a guy in Florida now!

I know this stuff happens all the time and its old news, but just as a goof, I asked when I could come by and check it out.

the response:

Hello Steve
Like I said in my first e-mail, I just got divorced and in need of a fresh new start, I moved to Omaha, Nebraska with my job. The car is with me, and its already at the shipping company, in a cargo container, ready to delivered to its future new owner. Using eBay, you get free delivery, the car arriving at your place in 4 to 6 days. In addition, you also get 5 days to try it out before buying it, and if you don't like it, you can send it back at my expense. I want to make it very clear, that eBay will hold your money, and I won't be receiving a single dollar unless you call and tell them to release the money to me. If interested, e-mail me your whole name and ph#, and I will forward it to eBay so they can send you more details on how this works.

These people are amazing. Does anyone actually fall for this?

That's funny, I didn't even see that! Looks like Omaha is the place to be for the deals!

Ebay still hasn't removed it. :headscratch:

I hate that about their system. With as many scam auctions as there are, they should have a way to report them as scam, and something in place to get them removed much faster.
