And thats what i decided to name her, my 70.
So, had to rebuild the t56, and decided to while shes down, upgrade to a Dakota digital dash vhx type. So, under recomendation, i changed the choke wire while i was cleaning up my under hood harness and hooked up my auto choke witha wire from the existing American Auto harness. Not "hot" says the wire, so i hooked upl the old "ignition hot" to the choke, fine. Now i notice fuel coming out the "eye glass" and through the float bowl adjustment, ok. Next thing ya know all the seals are bad on the carb. A circa 2004 ish Holley Street avenger 670 for my ZZ3 crate....no big, its time....
Well the rebuild was no big, except for the fact that i placed the spring for the accelorator pump on the wrong side of the diapram a subsequently flooded the intake/combustion system with fuel. ok, oops.
new spark plugs, blow each cylinder out, replace plugs, change oil (bout 3/4 qt too high)
Engine will fire, but wont stay running, huge amounts of white smoke too, to be expected.
A- what are the chances i broke a ring with hydralic lock?
B- could something be amiss in the carb im missing? ive ran the car probably 30 to 40 minutes 3 different times, cant even get it to stay running to test drive it to possibly "blow" it out..
C- is this a sign from "God" that i should go LS power? lol
Any help from you guys would be appreciated as i'm stuck, thanx, Mike
