Due to the fact i cant find any long tube headers for my application (6.1 hemi into 72 Australian Charger - RHD) im planning to build my own.

Im a fairly decent welder (TIG) but dont have a bender, so i planned to buy mandrel bends.

Anyone have any advice, know a good online store to buy my flanges/tubing (plan to use stainless)?

Thanks

Lee

I have never built my own headers, so i cannot comment on if these would help. But they look like they would help tremendously.

Their extra set of hands has potential as well:

Best Prices and quality I have found use them all the time. Either -

or http://www.globaltecheng.com/

I built a 1 7/8" set for 67 Nova LS swap this winter. Used mild steel. Never have built a set before. Took me about three weekends. Turned out good. I would do it again. Lots of cutting fitting and grinding to get the gaps close before welding. Not tough just time consuming. I went with 16 gauge tubing. It's a little thicker and easier to weld for me.

Cool, what did you use to do the cutting?
