Well since all the cool kids are doing it we figured we would start a thread for the stuff we have going on that either are not big enough for their own thread or not ready to show everything yet, hope you enjoy

An aluminum lip spoiler and valance on a second gen bird, along with a custom rear bumper and custom fabbed rear spoiler , so we can ditch the plastic

Great work as always. I am glad to see you putting your touch on a second gen Firebird. I was looking at the Lokar build the other day. Did you use Pontiac G8 door handles on it? I have been thinking about those for my Firebird.

do these door handles actually come apart? it looks like the centers of the outside of the handle might be remove able, thought about these for a project but i didnt think the pressure pad was removeable for powdercoating

Did you ever finish the "crooked bird"? Or is it the same bird on the first page. Also bad ass work

I have a question about the door handles, does it work similar to an RFID system or is it setup to open the doors AFTER you unlock them?
In other words if you forget to lock your doors can anyone just walk up to the vehicle and open the doors?

The "crooked bird" is still under construction , there's not a hard deadline on that project and the owner has a lot of stuff going on so we don't get to work on it all the time

I have a question about the door handles, does it work similar to an RFID system or is it setup to open the doors AFTER you unlock them?
In other words if you forget to lock your doors can anyone just walk up to the vehicle and open the doors?

These door handles were designed to be basically one piece in the puzzle , depending on the latches or door poppers the end user decides to use , they could create whatever security measures they like. What we have been doing is using powered late model latches that these handles actuate , then on a key fob one of the channels operates a remote battery disconnect that in turn kills power to the handles , acting like a door lock. There are numerous remote entry products out that could be set up al sorts of ways. The Phantom products push button start has proximity capabilities w/ fobs that could be wired to lock doors or kill power etc. I hope that helps a little , we didn't want to constrain someone on what they could do , due to the universal nature of this part.
