Gents -- looks like I have to change my mufflers from the current Flowmaster 50 Series to something else, I have narrowed it down to two the Borla XR-1 or the Borla Pro XS. Do you guys have any suggestions / reccomendations on which one?

Thanks in Advance!

Putting the XR1s on our chevelle. I heard them on a couple cars at goodguys and was hooked.

why do you "HAVE" to change yours ?
are you unhappy with quality, sound, etc ?

We use ONLY Borla XR1 on ALL our builds. Superior quality, performance, sound and durability. The only variation on our cars is pipe size. We prefer the 16" long ovals over the shorter versions due to additional baffling. We've used them on show cars to all out race cars and everything in between.

My flowmasters get to hot (chamber design vs. straight through) I would hope they are cooler and I can wrap the stainless muffler to reduce the heat. The flowmasters are right up against my floor and actually burnt a bit of the carpet under my seat. Thanks for the recommendation in the XR1 that's they way I am leaning.

That heat is because you car is too hot to trot Raj. You car is just bad a$$ and is on fire with over 630 ponies to the rear wheels. :RunninDog: :RunninDog:
