Just started looking for a GT500 convertible and came across this one...
Seems real low, but I don't know what prices ones modded GT500's bring.

Just traded in a stock 2010 with 7500 miles It was worth around 32 to 34 for sale on the lot, If it's to good to be real it probably is.

Skip, I know you've probably done your homework on these cars, but if you can, look for an '11-'12 convertible. I've owned a few 05-12 Mustangs and driven several more, and the '10-12 cars are way nicer inside and drive a little better. I thought about and test drove a '10 convertible, but they essentially '09s with new sheetmetal. The '11-'12 convertibles have way better chassis bracing and run better shocks/springs, handle better and suffer less fowl shake. If you just want a brutish cruising car the 2010s are a hell of a good deal though.

Matt,
Thanks for the advice, I can use it. :)
I was going to ask you about the Shelbys. I had no idea you were keeping FoMoCo so busy. :unibrow:
Actually just started to look into them.
Cowl shake is a huge issue for me as well.
Heard the newer ones don't have the SC whine. That's not gonna be good for anyone. ;)

It is a scary thought, but I think I might own more Fords than Rob, and he might own more Chevys than me.
I helped pick out an '05 GT with my dad, then bought an '06 GT a couple years later. When that one got a little worn out I decided to start shopping the newer ones and the used GT500s were only a few thousand more than new loaded GT. After test driving the 2011 GT500 with the SVT performance package I was pretty much sold. I wanted a convertible but there weren't any for sale in SoCal and paying more for something I would have to add a bar to in order to track didn't make sense. I still think if I see a convertible I might try and do some trading. Oh, and the blower whine, or lack there of, issue, is much ado about nothing. They added an intake muffler after the air filter and removing it makes some sweet noises. Warning: you might find yourself stepping on the go fast pedal more just to hear the blower.

I love the color. Looks like a roll cage in there as well.
Don't know how I feel about the wide body kit yet.
