Hi All,
Have been lurking this site as well as Pro-Touring for awhile and finally decided to get off my A$$ & join.
I am in the middle of a 4 year amateur-touring build of my 1970 Mark Donohue Javelin SST.
This is my 2nd time owning this particular car. It was my first musclecar I bought back in the mid 80's when I was a teenager. had a 360/4spd and was lime green metallic with the white c-stripe and black half vinyl top with green(ugh!) interior. Car was alot of fun back then, I kept it mostly stock save for headers & holley & 3.91 rear. Only 290 horse but 395 lbft of torque so it was fun around town but ran out of steam quickly.
Long story shorter, I sold the car to go to college about 88 or 89. The guy I sold it to rebuilt the motor (poorly) & quickly blew it and set it in his dads barn and lost interest. A few years ago a car dealer buddy of mine ( & musclecar enthusiast) called me asking questions about my old car & I asked him why. He told me that the owner contacted him about selling and he was going to look at it. Of course I HAD to go along! Well, I got there and all the memories came back even though it was in really poor shape. I my friend was cool & let me buy it instead. How many chances do you get to get your first car back? Had to do it.
Will post more pics when I am able, & I will update the specs ASAP.

I am trying to change my image size to upload but cannot figure out yet. Will get it figured and update.
Anyway, glad to be a member and am getting excited to get this thing on the road!

Welcome Sean!!

What a great story!! I'd love to find my first few cars... That would be so much fun!

To post pics -- easiest way is to open a free Photobucket account - upload them to Photobucket and then just copy the "IMG" link and paste it here (one for each picture).

There's a thread discussing how this is done here:
