I swear, they have the wildest designs. What happened to their electric bike/motorcycle they were toutin two years ago?
Are you ever on ktmtalk?
On another note, I bought a KTM bicycle jersey from Spain so when I'm on my road bicycle, the knee draggers in the canyon I ride will pay me a teensiest tiny little two wheel respect....do you know why they don't sell KTM bikes here? I know it's technically another company....

I think the E-Ride project is still going, battery technology is the major drawback to any e-power vehicle..........especially small high performance types.
KTM also has a direct injected 2-stroke motor for off-road bikes. When the 4-stroke eco-hype dies it will probably surface.
Smart move on the jersey, I have a local road that bikers are just plain stupid on. Apex a tight 25 mph corner to find the entire lane blocked by a pack of bikes........doesn't leave many options. Take on on-coming traffic, hit the pack, or guardrail/ditch/cliff. Especially if you're on a quiet bike.
Not sure why the bicycles are Euro only...........US market saturation and price pressure?

E-ride, that was it.
The road bike thing, I don't ride with groups or like the way most of them behave, they get sort of a gang mentality while "claiming" a hill. Single file beotch!!. Most of them don't realize that cars win upon impact.
On the KTM bike thing, I had heard that it was a legal issue with some sort of rearderailer issue, buddy of mine (in the pnwet) was in the wheel biz for years and was telling me that but I've never heard anything else,. I tried importing one from Germany but it was too $$$.
I think I would buy an e ride if it was priced right, I drive bout a 100 miles a day and would be nice one or twice a week
