Best transmission option

I have seen some affordable 46le transmissions , I plan to add an ls2 lq9 ls1 or a 5.3 depending on what I find a deal on my question is there any compatability issues with those motors ?

Is there a better option for an automatic ls swap ?

Some of the wrecked cars (pull-outs) will come with a transmission. On first gen Camaro 67-69, the 4L60E or 4L65E or 4L80E, will fit in the transmission tunnel fine. In 2006, GM started producing the 6L80E and I have only seen one 1968 Camaro with that transmission. This required the Transmission Tunnel to be raised.

If you plan to get a 5.3 engine, then watch out for the 2000 Silverado's with a 4L60-E transmission. I had one to fail within 40,000 miles. It could have been something faulty transmission from GM, because the replacement is still going..

My 67 RS Camaro has an L92/LS3 block with 418 cu inches and Harrop TVS 2300 supercharger. I have a Bowler 4L80E transmission, but the engine dynoed at close to 700 hp and 800 ft/lbs of torque.

I'm leaning lq9 I plan to get a 2007 or newer motor thanks for the info every little bit helps , I'm not looking to go nuts like that I have a turbo SS 5thgen Camaro that's enough for me for now;0) just want good drivability and good power , going to start selling off stuff to finance my project
Does the 5.3 make decent power Stock ?

My 2000 Silverado stock makes 285 hp/325 ft/lbs of torque. Runs great at 129,000 miles. Although, if I rebuilt the engine. Then I do something like this. http://www.superchevy.com/technical/engines_drivetrain/completebuilds_testing/sucp_1205_5_3l_ls_small_block_build_part_6/viewall.html
You need a 4L65-E with that engine in the article.
(Although, I plan to upgrade to 2014 truck in the future).
