I just put a deposit down on a set of these wheels and due to price don't want to get them put on and have regrets if I can avoid it. I have a 67 RS Camaro Convertible. What do you think? I can't photoshop and am having a hard time visualizing these and would like to hear other opinions? Car will either be Black or Ferrari Silver. I specified 19" in back and 18" in front x 8" wide.

cool wheels.i think you would be happier with 18's and 17's,the tire size's are much better for a 18 than 19.and a 18 imo looks better.

I have 18" wheels out back now and they just don't fill the wheel well enough but that may be solved with dropping it some more. I am going to think about it some more since as you mentioned tire choices are very limited with 19". Here is a side view.

it will require a slight mini-tub in the back but you could run C6 rubber on those rims. Stock is 245/35/18 on 8.5/18 rim in front and 285/30/19 on 10/19 rim in the rear.

Been looking for R compound tires in that size but I have not found any yet.

Those wheels and your sizes are right on the money! Don't listen to everybody bagging on plus size wheels. You don't have to look any further than every new high end supercar to see that you know what you're doing! It's not bling, it's high performance styling. 22s all the way around is bling.

What would be the price range/labor hours to install minitubs on our cars? Anyone have any ideas?

It's about a forty hour job. Some do it in less time, others take longer.

It's a pretty wide range of prices to install mini-tubs.I've heard as low as $2500 and as high as $14k, yes fourteen thousand.

Spoke with a shop in California and they said about $2,000 in labor if I supply DSE kit. Amazing how easy it is to go down the money pit rabbit hole!

Yep. You'd be lucky to find a shop that charges 50 an hour these days. If you've got basic skills, it's not really that difficult of a job to do.

Price was 30 hours at $75 hour so actually $2250. Paint job though was quoted at $13,000 give or take depending on what we find.
