I been getting my 69/RS worked on since Dec 2011 at Poor Boys Hot Rods in La Habra,CA. About another 4 to 5 months left.
Here's a small write up on it from Chris Coddington
http://hotrodsbyboyd.com/poor-boys-hot-rods-1969-camaro-project/
Car was pretty much completely restored when I bought it and decided to get a few things done and call it complete. A few things turned into completely re-doing everything. I'm sure a lot of you guys can relate.
New LS9 crate motor, Roadster shop IRS chassis, custom wheels, mini tubs, 14 inch willwoods, under dash hydro boost and the list goes on and on.

Here is a few pictures before the build and during. Let me know what you think and any ideas.

The Roadster shop chassis was modified in the rear for the exhaust. They recommended running 2 1/2 inch over the top of the rear end above the 1/2 shafts for my set up but the clearance is not all that great and I needed duel 3 inch and was not going to fit. You can see in the corners were removed and modified for structure.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.
The hood, trunk and rear will be matte black and paint color is going to be Grigio Estoque. Comes on the Aventador Lambo. Keeping the vinal top for Nostalgia.

.... Keeping the vinal top for Nostalgia.

It was nostalgia before with the Torque Thrust II wheels. Now, with the RS chassis, custom fabbed trunk, new color paint...I say "no" to the vinyl top. But, either way I'm sure it'll be nice. You're taking it to new heights and another level now.

Sounds nice! I think the color combo will work out well. Not sure on the vinyl top but I'm open to the idea. I wouldn't leave the trim chrome or even bright though. It would need to be blacked out as well or match the gray.

Wow! You really did get carried away. My favorite saying whenever a buddy brings over a new acquisition: "Cool car. Let's take it apart."

I guess I meant to say I wanted to keep a little nostalgia.
I wasn't sure about the top but seems like everybody removes it and mine was in good shape so I though I would keep it. I look at it like building a custom home and leaving a couple pieces of reclaimed wood in there...lol.

are you going to be running hydraulic fluids under the dash?
That's the plan. The hydro boost is mounted under the dash with the slave and there is an access panel under the cowl at the base of the windshield.

I am happy to see that Dan opened his own shop and I love the Coddington wheels.
Dan's got a pretty nice set up there and great workers. All the guys are very knowledgeable and definitely know what they are doing.

Looks sweet! You are going to love driving this car.
Thanks...I cant even begin to imagine what it's going to drive like with the suspension and IRS set up.
