hey i need some help. recently i bought a 94 firebird with an lt1 to have as a daily while i build my 69 nova. the firebird has 82k miles and isnt stock was built about 6k miles ago. usually wen i start my car and its cold my oil pressure is around 60. then wen it warms up its at 35ish at idle and 40 cruising at 1k rpm.well yesterday i noticed it was at 40 wen i start the car up wen its cold and about 25 30 at idle and 35ish at 1k rpm. should i be worried? any help is appreciated.

Oil level and condition ok? What mods if any? Also have u verified with mechanical gauge. 30 psi is plenty. Only required ~6psi per gm specs at idle.

Sounds fine. Couple things to check are is the gauge accurate? Have you by chance changed the oil viscosity or have the outside temperatures changed during this time? I honestly, wouldn't be worried but would look into the gauge working correctly etc just to be proactive about it all.

the oil level was a lil low so i added some. i did a oil change about 800miles ago with royal purple. yes its modded. different heads lifters pushrods rockers cam and throttlebody. im going to put another gauge in and check it. and i have heard that they can run off that low of oil pressure just thought it was weird it randomly decided to drop 10psi
