Has anybody had issues with blowing DSE's PS hoses? I blew another today about 4500 miles on car after the first one blew. Running DSE PS pump and 12.1 box. Line is popping through in the line not at fittings. Thoughts/ suggestions

What pump are you using? Did it pop in the same exact spot(sharp edge etc.making contact with the hose)

I am using DSE's ps pump with integral reservoir. No the hoses are under motor mount on subframe. They are not near any moving parts that could cause rubbing. It did pop near the subframe as the line curves up to pump. No kinks in line either.

So the hose ruptures in the middle, not at the fitting connection?

Is it teflon hose? If you are using rubber hose with a stainless overbraid on the pressure side there is your problem. The rubber based braided hose is only rated for 350 psi.

I had the same problem with DSE hoses -purchased Feb 2012. got a RMA/RGA# (return merch #) and exchanged it with without a hassle, the 2nd set has held up so far.

The leak started below the fitting and dripped onto the sub (left side on the pic) - had the plastic bag in place to try to zero in on location. Sorry for the poor cell pic.

Jay, did you use a piece of heat shrink on the plastic nipple on the reservoir? If not that's likely why it's leaking, the teflon lining on the hose won't seal on the plastic nipple without the heat shrink.

I did not put the heat shrink on. I will do that and hopefully that will fix it

Thanks Tim. Hope you are doing well.
