I purchased a ididit column and just noticed that it is setup with a electronic ignition switch. I was trying to figure out the 4 wire connector I believe to be pink, red, purple, brown. Has anyone else purchased one of these columns with this switch setup? Did it come with the wiring and relays to connect to starter to make work properly or is this separate, It loooks like it could be plugged in to a remote start box, or the ididit touch n go.
Thanks

I dont have one, but thats definitly a improved design over GMs .. If youve ever had a column..jump a tooth on the rack.. ignitions on-but the key wont turn far enuff to start the car.. Good luck someone will have a diagram for the wiring to the relay..

Check your box, according to the instructions (Just pulled them up) it was supposed to come with a relay harness that plugs into the column. Apparantly it comes in a bag in the column box. From there, once you plug it in its the standard wiring.
Red is the battery feed from the panel, purple goes to either the starter or neutral safety switch, and pink is ignition hot. Brown is accessory. There is probably a black ground lead in the relay harness that has to be grounded for the relay to work as well, but it wont be in the 4 way plug you have coming from the column, but attached to the relay.
Call whoever you got the column from if it didnt come with this.
