Ideas: Building a bench w/ a tailgate

I have an idea of building a bench for my porch out of a tailgate.
The tailgate I have is from a 50's truck, (pic below)

I am thinking of using flat sheetmetal for the bottom part of the bench and having it covered in some sort foam and two tone vinyl to look like a 50's style car.

I am unsure what to use for arm rest and legs for this thing? Any ideas?
I am looking for imaginative ideas!

The wooden bench is kinda what I am thinking as far as the type of bench.

I wonder if there is some way to cut off the top portion of each door on a similar truck to use the frame around the window and window sill as the legs/armrests. I don't know how sturdy it will be.......
