Curious to know if anyone has ever took a rear end that was meant for a bolt in application for 98-02 4th gen fbody and use it for a 67-69 Camaro?

Obviously some fabrication work needs to be done. I was more curious to know if anyone has done this swap before?

Anything can work with the correct parts and some elbow grease. Just know that the 4th Gen cars have 65.22" WMS to WMS and the 1st Gen cars are 60.164".

For the record, Strange's S60 is priced pretty reasonably. I don't find it to be overpriced at all.

...and that truck 60 you get of craigslist probably has 1 ton full floater axles in it that need converted along with cutting down tubes and adding new ends.

Its all in how you want to pay, in $$ for a completed unit or in labor to fix up a used one.

The early ford trucks used a D60 that's 5 lug has tapered roller bearing axles. I think it was around 69 70 ish. I was going to use one in my 72 blazer 20 years ago was same perch width too. and they were everywhere in the self serve yards

I needed a 12 bolt and asked Lateral Dynamics to build one of their suspensions using a 12 bolt instead of a Ford 9 inch. They ended up using a Strange center section for a 82 to 92 Camaro. Last time I checked they still had a couple in stock. It has a pad for the torque arm that can be adapted to provide a mounting point for the center link of a three link system.
