Have a friend that had a mouse set up shop under the car cover of his El Camino in his garage.... the mouse piss ate holes into the clear coat.....had to get it re-cleared...luckily Grundy paid for it....

This. I had a new corvette...in my garage, which is a drive under style, so it's climate controlled...darn mice. You should really give your wiring a thorough looksey. They are ruthless little varmints.

We cured that by just leaving a few lights on in the garage.
Mice, being mostly nocturnal, avoid lights.
Has been working for more years than I can remember.
