Hmmm, we'll if I was spending your money maybe a Thompson 427SC engine like in Steilow's Mayhem and a full Carbon Fiber front clip from Anvil would fit the bill. :D :unibrow:
Edit, I don't see it in your thread. But if you haven't picked suspension I wouldn't hesitate to do a DSE subframe and Quadralink rear and make sure you put mini-tubs in that thing at the panel replacement stage. You will thank me later on.

The Thompson 427 has caught my eye but the anvil clip won't work for me as I have very specific design ideas on the front end.
I may at a later date get carbon copies made if I want to lighten the car.
Also interested in general parts.. Not just stuff I can use on my car.
Just interested in what out there and where the industry is going.

It is going to be mini tubed later in the build. The outer tubs have already been widen towards the top for extra clearance when belly scraping.
For the suspension, we are building a custom perimeter chassis with c7 corvette suspension up front, and four bar rear.
Using ridetech shockwaves shocks to give ride control. Adjustable damping and height at the push of a button

Ironworks is hard at work on quite few products. I'm trying to hit the market with product and info when we are ready to sell. This will make the copy cats have to make up ground on us. I see a void in the market in these parts and I'm going to try and fill it with some super high quality parts.
- LS billet valve covers
- Billet gauge bezel rings - 3 styles
- AC vents - 3 styles
- 55-56 chevy gauge cluster - billet - super custom but still bolt in
- C-10 truck cluster - billet - super custom but still bolt in place
- Interior door handles
- Billet F-body pedals
- Power window switches and headlight switches in 3 different styles that match. No more pull handle headlight switches for pro-touring cars.
- And about a dozen others over the next year
These are just to name a few.

I have been watching your efforts on Facebook.
Defo interested in the valve covers and switch gear.
I agree there is nothing out there in the way of cool switch gear.
I want ford gt style switches. Chunky billet. Love some of the stuff roadster shop have made in the past.
Also good idea with the interior door handles and ac vents!
Some other parts I would like to see is more custom exterior door handles.. Maybe something flush, or pop out like Aston martins etc, and some cooler wing mirrors.
I am planning custom mirrors with carbon housing on billet stalks with built in cameras and turn signals. Design wise similar to zodas

We are building a custom LED exterior mirrors that I'm thinking about making to market also.
One thing at a time.

All of those products sound like they would have a place. Although these are not super custom , they are something we are quite proud of. Through the entire build process of the camaro we just finished for them with the intentions of a lot of the products developed to come to market. The exterior door handles are done and ready for sale now , the hood vents, shifter , ebrake handle cover, and interior door pulls are extemely close ( assessing demand , color choices and pricing). We are also working on the applications and fitmet of a modern powered latch and striker combo with sheet metal patch for upgrading stock style door latches , these of course would wire up to the new exterior door handles. Allof these are in addition to the traditional hot rod line of parts that were developed on the 32 ford we finished recently. Those will launch middle of this year , most likely at Louisville

A lot of cool stuff on that Camaro. We need to get a set of door handles coming for a '69 that we are just starting on.
Are you still talking about making a mold of the rear bumper and offering it in fiberglass or carbon?

Those vents were pretty cool. You should make them in a few different widths.

One of the things I saw at SEMA that was pretty trick was the new Atomic EFI for both LSX and carb style intakes. IMO it was heads above the competition's stuff. The fact you can drag and drop a timing curve into your pre existing locked out pro billet dizzy was super trick. Nobody is offering anything like that for 2 grand. I have one ordered for the 502 for the warden's car. It's not PT specific, but I thought it was cool.

NO A body love.............anywhere.
Makes me sad. Im going to have to convert if I want all the latest and greatest. All I want is a pro-touring CF hood with louvers, or a CF dash, or ect ect ect.

Myself I am looking forward to the new Trick Flow 11R Ford heads.
Would like to see a comparison to the Kaase p-38 heads.
And both of them compared to the CHI 3v Cleveland heads.
Oh wait, those aren't for a Camaro - never mind.

You know, I'm right there with you. In my eyes the chevelle has always been popular and sought after but maybe I'm wrong and I'm blowing it out of proportion. But I always figured there would be a lot of aftermarket support like the camaro but A-body support is still lacking in some places. :(

... And he will probably probably go on about any of those choices be more than adequate since the original which were used on GT40s that won Le Mans.

Im perfecting my carbon fiber molding skills so I can at least do some interior parts - probably nothing extravagant like a hood - but I have dreams?
We just had a conversation at the shop last week about the quantity of GM A bodies built [3.4 million from 64-72] and the inverse amount of aftermarket support for them.
I think the Chevelle [my generic term for the GM A body] has always been seen as a "middle class" car. That's why they were so popular when new...and why they remain so today, but [for the most part] as "middle class" builds.
I see no reason why that cannot change. In reality, there have been several world class Chevelle builds, most notably the orange Roadster shop car a few years ago. I like that car so much I copied the color for Velocity :)
I've been planning a higher end 67 Chevelle build for my wife for a few months...something AMG Mercedes in flavor...maybe its time to move it up front.
I'd love to see some carbon fiber components built for these cars...bumpers, widened front fenders, inner fenders, flush glass, hoods, doors, and decklids, interior parts.
The suspension thing has been well addressed with everything from shock absorbers and swaybars to a complete 4 wheel IRS chassis...but, like the early Camaro has proven, there is always room for more. It's the high end builds that inspire more [MUCH MORE] of the middle class builds.
Stay tuned!

Oh yes - performance parts hands down are well covered including suspensions, frames, ect.
But the "bolt on" stuff is lacking. Anvil has some stuff for the '70 as far as CF goes and I did find some fiberglass bumpers. But the cooler things, the carbon fiber things, thats what I want.
Sure there is Covah for dash carriers - but that is it. I have 3 choices - buy Covahs, make my own, or stick with stock - I dont particularly like those choices.
Of course, I only say this because Im in that situation. If i had a camaro, I wouldnt be posting. I would instead be celebrating.
But I will be getting some of those handles when body work time comes around. Those are too cool.

Of course, I'm a little biased, but there's no longer any reason to live with fuel smell, spillage, and fill-up burping in our hot rods. Our fuel vents have been available since mid-July, but could be considered at 2013 part. :)
They will fit a Camaro, Chevelle, Mustang, and Mopars too. We've also had customers use them on Jeeps, pickups, and El Caminos.

Does this solve the fuel-spilling-out-on-to-my-shoes problem while filling up?AKA fuel burping. Yes, our vent eliminates that problem too.

Amen! Please Bret, do it, make cool A-body parts. Suspension is handled (TY by the way for making your sweet triples  ). Wide fenders would be cool, especially for us 64-65 guys. 245's are tight at a favorable ride height.
Oh, flush glass too, now were talkin'...front air dams :unibrow:, good hoods that line up...the list of possibilites is endless

What is "flush glass"?
Kinda just like it sounds..the glass is flush (level) with the surrounding body. Almost all new cars/trucks have flush glass, probably mostly due to aerodynamics and wind noise I guess. Imagine if there was no chrome/stainless trim around your Chevelle window and all you may see is a window gasket between the glass and paint.
Found this on the Team Camaro site for example

I wondered about that. I thought long and hard about how I could get someone to make glass like that. Im suprised none of the repop glass guys havent enlarged the mold to do just that.
The back window isnt curved though - couldnt someone custom cut that?
