By now we've all seen how the last Space Shuttle arrived in Los Angeles.

Here is one final picture of the cockpit with everything powered on for one last time before the electronics and secret stuff were pulled out and removed. Additionally, the last commander ordered erased all the flight deck graffiti signed by all the crews over 25 missions. Too bad.

That's a shame tho. That's so neat. I'd think one day in the future, when most those people have passed on, theyre gonna be mad.

Wow  really cool.

My father worked for Rockwell International and worked on that project till his retirement in 83. He's been gone since 84 but seeing this reminded me of him.

Glad you guys enjoyed this. I'm fortunate to get this stuff occasionally from a group of guys a generation ahead of me and when the good stuff comes that I know we all appreciate I throw it up here

Yep. We do appreciate it. I can only imagine what that wire harness must look like lol.

Yeah, those seats look really comfy! The gear they are wearing probably made up for it though, maybe

thats awesome frank.

yeah they should leave the signatures. what a crock. Maybe not destroy them but replace the panels.

Its funny how dated the cockpit looks, love the diamond tuck interior and 2001 Space Odyssey lighting. Cool prospective though, thanks Ron.
