The Ferrari F360, Bentley Continental GT, and Mercedes CLS550 all have paddle shifters, why doesn't your car? We carry the finest in paddle shifters from Twist Machine. These paddle shifters can be adapted to just about any vehicle. Whether you’re running an Ididit, flaming river, factory, or misc column, ask us to set up a shifter package for you. Available in Chrome, Brushed, or Black Anodized. These work in conjunction with your mechanical shifter to allow you to paddle shift through 1,2,3,4 gears of your electronically controlled automatic transmission such as the 4L60E, 4L80E, AOD-E, 4R70W, 4R100, and E4OD. These shifters fit between your column and a 5 or 6 bolt steering wheel. Special adapters are available, but sorry factory steering wheels cannot be used.
What’s the benefit of a paddle shifter? Well besides looking sweet, how about a response time? Your fingers are way faster than your arm could ever be. Tap the paddle shifter and 0.125 seconds later your transmission control unit is changing gears. That’s 1/8th of a second, it took you longer than that to read “That’s 1/8th of a second”! If you’ve already stepped up to the LS1, or are considering a swap, a paddle shifter would be a great next step.
