1970 Olds protouring 442 convertible.

EXTERIOR: This Oldsmobile has a stunning body that was painted by Kenny Mudd of O'fallon mo. The two stage paint is the Chip Foose Huntington Blue Pearl with pearl white stripes on the ram air hood. 95% of the chrome and trim are nos pieces that are all polished to a show finish. The tinted glass is all new. The white top is new by Paul Atkins Interiors. This paint was wet sanded to 5000 grit and then buffed to the incredible glass like finish you see in the photos. The wheels were one off pieces by BOZE WHEELS with 442 center caps.
INTERIOR: The interior was designed by the private owner and Riddler Award winner Paul Atkins. This national level show interior is finished in white leather with grey inserts. The triple layer center console with rear waterfall and carbon fiber front area is a first for Atkins. You will notice the original his and hers Hurst shifter with a leather late model shifter handle. A Clarion marine sound system is mounted in the carbon fiber console area along with the new high tech touch screen of the ISIS system. This system operates 90% of this Oldsmobiles electronics by computer. There is no longer a fuse box in this Oldsmobile. Four bucket seats with 6 way power front seats. The dash is Paul Akins complete custom with carbon fiber inserts and carbon fiber dash cluster. The carbon fiber face gauges are by AutoMeter and illuminate blue. This interior has a tilt wheel, power 4 wheel disc brakes by SSBC, Vintage Air A/C AND Heat, power steering, power windows, power top and cell phone charger in the console along with the USB connection for laptop use with the ISIS system. The final touch in this interior is the Nardi leather wrapped steering wheel. The trunk is an extension of the Interior featuring a carbon fiber insert with 442 emblem and stainless steel spears matching the interior design.

DRIVE TRAIN: The engine is a Mondello built 475 cu. in. stroker motor complete with Edlebrock aluminum heads match ported to the Edlebrock polished aluminum Torker intake and 930 cfm holley carburetor. An MSD HEI ignition system keeps the candles lit while a big core BE COOL aluminum radiator with Flex-Rite duals fans keep this big block running cool. This engine breathes through a set of Mondello jet coated headers and a custom built 21/2 inch exhaust system that is also jet coated with dynomax mufflers. This engine compartment is complete with polished billet accessories, original style and functional Oldsmobile ram air system and real carbon fiber valve covers. This combination produces 553 hp and 579 ft.lbs. of torque. The transmission is a Turbo 400 unit with Hughes high performance "Red" AltoŽ clutches, Kevlar lined race band, filter, modulator, washers and bushings. The rear is a Currie 9" ford posi unit set up with 3:70 gears.

SUSPENSION: The front suspension consist of the new Mondello upper and lower tubular a-frames with QA1 adjustable coil over shocks and heavy duty adjustible sway bar. The rear suspension is also the Mondello tubular upper and lower trailing arms with QA1 adjustible coil over shocks and rear sway bar.

Notice the Hurst dual gate shifter set in the carbon fiber console. It is the original one with a new leather cover knob.
