Anyone else into this band? I hate to say I only first heard them last year when Warriors Call started being played on the radio here. These guys are great. Very original and refreshing sound I think, but then again, I'm fed up with most rock that's being played on the radio now-a-days. Rockabilly metal is a good way to describe their sound I would say. Right now Heaven nor Hell is my favorite by them.

I'm not real up on who's who but I like them. Warriors Call would get me to cross the garage to crank it up a notch. I knew of another song last summer but the name escapes me. I heard a new one the other day I liked, could be Heaven Nor Hell that you mentioned. I like the different sound the lead singer has, and I am kind of a lyrics guy. I have a weakness for any song that gets you going, Warriors Call had you thinking you could hit the heavy bag so hard the eyehook would come out of the ceiling or the stuffing would pour out. Shinedown has a couple like that as well.

Yea they are pretty good. My wife is a big music person and she got me into them. I believe they are danish and warriors call was written for a danish boxing champ that they know. They also have a song out called still counting check it out you will like it to.

I downloaded their "Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood" album off of Itunes a couple months ago and I really like it. It's kind of a rockabilly-meets-punk sort of sound, but it's done rather well. I like the songs "Hallelujah Goat" and "Still Counting"

Correct. They are Danish and the person you're referring to is Mikkel Kessler. He actually says his name in the lyrics to the song. But he splits up the name at the syllable for the first name so it's hard to hear.
Robert, I bet you're thinking of Still Counting. It's the only other song I know of that is a single on the radio.

Sad Man's Tongue is another good song of theirs that's played locally. It's got a country vibe to it similar to what Seether did with Country Song. I really like the Volbeat stuff though. It's amazing that they have multiple albums in Europe but we are just now hearing some of it.

That is funny/odd especially when you consider they sing in English with some Danish mixed in not the other way around.
I order their last three albums from Amazon a few days ago. Should be here on the 4th. It cost the same as buying the digital copy of the albums through iTunes. I love my iPod but I'd rather own the physical album if it costs the same.

So I've had their last three albums for a week or so now. Their second album and third albums are good. They are definitely getting better as they go. I love that their music has meaning and a purpose. It's not mindless junk like most people put out or that you hear on the radio. Listening to their lyrics and trying to understand the meaning of the songs is highly recommended.
Their fourth album, Beyond Hell Above Heaven is one of the best albums I have ever heard. It's amazing. It has been a while since I have had an album grab me from the first song, not let go, and make me want to listen to every song. The last one was Mastadon's Crack the Skye*. Every song is different but are solidly rock/metal. These guys have a very unique sound that's completely refreshing. The radio singles are great but are blown away by the album songs that won't get played on the radio. If you like what you've heard on the radio, get the album. Make sure you have speakers that can handle bass. The drummer loves to use the double bass which I love :D
I typically don't write anything about albums or too much about music. I had to about this album because I want more people to hear these guys. I loved their radio singles and it's only gotten better as I've heard their albums.
Mastadon- Crack the Skye. This is progressive metal. It's hard and heavy without being over the top. It's a concept album and tells a story. If you decide to check it out and/or buy the album, get the deluxe version. It has all the scores for the songs. You don't need the lyrics to like these songs. To me, that's a real mark of a great song and musicianship.

Love this band! I've been listening to them for about 3 years, since I heard their cover of "I Only Wanna Be With You".
