Just got back yesterday morning from the F1 Races here in Austin. I don't think I have ever had so much fun hanging out at a race and not actually driving! I originally bought PSL seats/suite on the main grandstand and then they offered up 70 RV spots. Me and 4 of my race buddy's bought 5 spots all together. Eventhough the seats in the main grandstands were fantastic, the RV spot was the best place to be. We set up on Wed afternoon and came back yesterday morning. Where the RVs were, we were 50ft from the back straight. We had up to 50 people at spot the whole weekend, floated 5 kegs, $1200 worth of Liquor, no telling how much food..:) Ashley Judd, Patrick Dempsey, Jesse James ect. were all in the RV spots. I still can't believe we have a F1 track in our backyard! You guys have to make it next year..

F1 is a whole different world.

I watched the race live. What a great track and facility. Will they ever open the track for HPDE's?

when i saw the motorhome parking on the backstretch,i thought man that would be the place. 19000 rpms at 200mph, music to my ears.

Very cool SW, I like your setup there :D

Been to the Candian GP 3 times myself there's nothing like hearing these motors up close and personal.

They said they would, but at $50k a day:_paranoid

Come on!

I was trying to get into the Ferrari Challenge race but I have a 430 Challenge car and would not allow it to run. I hope to get either a 458 Challenge car or a Porsche Cup car to run next year!

That looks like a blast. I have thought about trying to go for Aussie Supercar event. They may provide the most exciting racing on that track.

The Speed commentators made an envious mention of that motorhome paddock.

World Superbike and Moto GP should provide good racing too.

I heard they are going to alternate this track and the new New Jersey track each year correct? And apparently Bernie wants a track in Vegas.

SW that would be so cool for you to get a 458 challenge car and run this event.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, SW. My aunt and uncle were there but I haven't seen their pictures yet. I sure hope F1 continues to return each year. Watching that or the Aussie cars would be a great excuse for visiting Austin.
