Chris,

It was great working with you. It's always fun to do something a little different! That's gonna be a sick Bel Air when it's done!

Customcam, those are convo pros on the car.

:D

I'm glad you all like it! It was a lot of fun doing a pro-street car, especially one with an 8-71 sticking through the hood!

here are pics of the actual car clicky (http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=3249)

the car is a lil further along, headers are built, 75% of the exhaust is done, and i been finishing a bunch of screw-ups that were done at the previous shop before i adopted the project. we are shooting for the begining of june, but the set-backs keep piling up.... parts are back ordered, the engine builder ordered a new dyno and has had nothin but problems getting it, the "usuall".

thanks again kris, rendering is very motivating

just the pics in the thread link, i will see about gettin more pics monday, i wasnt posting updates simply because the car is a pro-street car, and its not really "right" for this site.... but everyone likes pics and something "different" is nice to see every so often

I'm a die hard Pro-Touring guy but I still like the occasional Pro-Street. Problem is, a lot of them are trailer queens. Here's to hoping that the quarters on this car see plenty of rubber. :D

Best of luck with the project...looks killer. :)

this car will get trailered "distances" just for simplicity sake, but the owner swears he is gonna DRIVE the car, in fact the car has bench seats front and rear so he can take his family of 6 to church on sundays.

oh and the rubber on the qtrs....... well the car has the "old" M/T sportsmans on it now, and the "new" M/T's are on the way....... and we all know you cant "just" take off a set of perfectly good tires.......without getting your moneys worth in smoke 1st....... i promise i will have vids and pics when that time comes.

actually pro street 57 chevys arent really my "thing", BUT that doesnt mean i cant throw some of my own tastes and touches into the project. notice the "layed out" height...all meeeeeee

just wait...i spent all day on the mill, making some one-off billet trunk hinges to clear the tubs, and of coarse when i get all done making them pretty.... they will get brushed :D
