AN adapter fittings for corvette fuel filter?

Hello,

Do these russel AN adapter fittings work as supposed with corvette fuel filter/regulator ?

Or are there any other choices ?

Several companies make those quick connect to AN adapters, and they work fine. I usually use XRP, mostly because they have a bigger assortment of finishes and in some cases options for the fittings.

Russell has a newer version out that I like much more than the plastic clip type as shown above. P/N 644120 is the 3/8" example, but they make a 5/16" as well, both in blue and black finishes.

Dorman has steel adapters that you can use with crimp clamp to hose. 6 bucks each last time I bought them.

Hey Carl,

Im looking at the new fitting and I aint getting it, Im trying to visualize how that slotted tab locks the the line, there's got to be an oring inside the main part of the fitting. Does the tab have threads behind it?

There are o-rings inside the main body. Both pieces have threads.

Slip the "U" portion on the male fitting with the threads pointing toward the outlet. Slip the main body (oil the o-ring first) on to the fittings and screw them together. In the photo below the "U" nut is not fully seated in the main body.
