I hadn't been drving my CTS-V much in the past 4 months, so I sold it to a guy in Kansas. He picked it up early last week and after taking him for a ride, I missed it. I went straight to the Dealer the next day and picked up another one.. My last car made 670rwh 629rwt, my plans for this one is to twin-turbo it. I'm hoping for 750rwh and be smooth and quiet. I had a new BMW M6 on order but after driving one, I wasn't impressed and went back to a Caddi..

I picked her up on Monday, drove straight to the paint shop. Getting trim blacked out, grille blacked out, all the chrome painted body color. KW coilovers will be here tomorrow, complete clear bra on Monday and then I'm going to drive it a bit to break it in before I twin-turbo it.. I can't seem to get away from these damn Caddy's..:)

My buddy is getting the same stuff done on his white one...

Have you lost it? Yeah, maybe a little. But you know, having lost it sure looks like a lot of fun!!

I'm surprised with the additional torque being supplied by the Twin Turbo Bimmer M6 that you didn't find it to be more entertaining.

I just spotted one on my way home from the dog park. Great car. I can understand why it would be hard to get away from.

I think you're good.

Isn't asking this question like asking a drinking buddy if you drink to much?

Love those cars.

I miss ours also. We had two different Z06s,and while they were quick, they didnt compare to the feel of the caddy....

Nah, you haven't lost it. Now if you take the Caddy to Hennessey, then I'll tell you you've lost your marbles.

Can you tell us what your recipe for 670whp was ?

And what your changing for the TT ?
Will they fit in the engine bay ? What headers etc. ?
whatever details you want to share. I'm not all sure what goes into these cars these days.

I like your style SW.... never have too much ego to say you screwed up!

My buddy is on his second CTS-V and he has a race Vette and a ZO6... and still LOVES his CTS!

I might have to try one when it's time to dump the S63.

On my old V, I sent to Hennessey for his 700 package. It had heads, cam, headers no cats, stock exhaust, intake, upper pulley, larger intercooler. It made 620rwt/590rwt. I then sent it to my buddy in dallas and he put a larger cam in it, smaller pulley and retune. It made 670rwh/629rwt. I am waiting on Lingenfelter to finish up on their twin-turbo kit.

I'm really liking the new ATS, too. It is ripe for enhancements. Wonder if a V8 will fit?

SW, thanks for being the cardude that IS the dude who we'd all like to be. The one who sez, "If I had the scratch, this is what I'd do to that car..." and then does it.

Hahaha you guys are funny, I'm glad to be just as sick as the rest of you!!:D

Just picked it up from the paint shop and dropped it off to get clear bra & tint. I think the subtle changes look good..

Had a long talk with the guys at STS turbo and a guy that has been running one of their systems for several years out at SEMA doing research for a project I'm starting next year... Seems like good stuff.

Looks much better.
If I had the cash, I would be all over a CTS-V sedan as well. IMO, they are one of the best looking 4 door cars out there with all the creature comforts and POWER!

Have you lost it? no, but I honestly think you might need a hobby...may I suggest model railroading?

BTW, it would look BA if you powder coated the rims black and tinted the tailights.

and once again MR SW what do you do and how do you do it , car looks great.

Vince, I think the taillights are tinted. Only slightly though.

I agree on the wheels part. I'm not big on chrome for a performance look. I'm betting SW already has a plan for the wheels.

I know this is an old thread but I'm currently looking at a 2011 ctsv wagon for a daily driver... SW, where are you at now with these cars?

I LOVE mine...555RWHP via stage 1 Lingenfelter upgrade...black Forgeline wheels...6 speed...Recaro seats. I had an 07 Z06 with headers and a chip...great fun, but the V would tow it down the street. It will be quite some time before I sell mine.
Some of my greatest fun is putting 2-3 "civilians" in the back seat and blazing the tires in 3rd gear at 80mph...they think it's all my driving skill :)
