Hi guys,

I guess you can help me out with this one. I'm from overseas so the internet is my only help, maybe yo guys have good experiences with companies. .

I'm looking for another engine for my 67 Ford Mustang Eleanor recreation. In 2011 I bought a Roush 427R with 550hp for it and I drove it for about 2000 miles but I want something else. No carburation anymore but a recently engine with fuel injection and which is more made for doing more miles.

But I want also more horsepower... So I thought about a GT 500 2013 engine with 682 hp. What do you think? Is that a good, fast and reliable engine? Or does anyone have better ideas? First I thought about a ZR1 engine but a chevy engine in a Ford is maybe a little crazy...

Budget for the swap?

The '13 GT500 engine would be killer but costs $$$ for the conversion, plus if you currently still have the shock towers it will not fit.

Why not just add fuel injection to the Roush engine, if that is not enough slap on a blower and injection, should have all the power you could ever want.

Thanks for your answer...

Well, the shocktowers are deleted so that's no problem. Well, I want on this moment just a very reliable engine (ok, I know, the Roush is also very reliable). But that GT 500 engine would make my Eleanor maybe a little more real GT 500 :p. I will use it for daily drive in summer...

if it were my car I would pickup a 4.6 out of the 03-04 cobra and go with either a whipple or Kenne Bell setup on top. Thats an easy 700hp thats reliable.

Not much of a ford fan here but that's one swap i've always wanted to do
