I have a 67 Camaro and was thinking about putting a wheel with no or minimal dish/lip on it. The car is not minitubbed and has standard width axles. Thought I would try something a little different and put on a TSW Donington, Nurburging, or Mugello - or something similiar. I was hoping someone has already went this route and/or had some pics that I can referrence before spending the money. Pics of a 1st gen Camaro would be awesome, but any older car would help too.
Any pics or advice would be great
Thanks

Blazen... tell me what your thinking? I am thinking a similiar setup and one thing you will see is lots of "vette" setups with huge spacers... Not a fan...
The car in the above link is the JRS R&D car.. that is more like what I am thinking... take a look at the "5K MUSTANG BUILD" that is more like what I am thinking,,
I am looking at these..

I keep going back to this type of wheel. I'm afraid it's one of those love it or hate it wheels. I can get this wheel with a close offset with very little spacer needed.
If I use a wheel with a dish - my max dish would be about 3.25 inches, which isn't very deep. So I though I would just change the look up and do something different.

Yea thats a very similiar wheel to what I was thinking but smaller. What are those 16 or 17s? Do you have a straight side veiw of it? I'm going with 19x8 front and 19x9.5 back

Yeah that's pretty awesome, 19s do look the best. I wish I could fit 19x11 in the back

It's not a Camaro, but I'm using high offset factory Viper wheels on my build. I think the modern high offset wheels can look great on our older cars. I would love to get a set of TSW Interlagos or Jerez wheels myself but I can't get them n a 6 lug bolt pattern. I'm hoping to use them on the next build though.

Sure does!
You can use wheel adapters... From 6 to 5 lug. I know, i have seen them, its just a matter of getting the right thickness.
Just FYI.

That's true, but a 2" thick adapter is much too thick and won't cause rubbing, it will cause destruction. I dig my wheels, don't get me wrong, but my 6x4.5 limits options to "mostly" custom wheels.

Why would they not fit? A 67'Camaro w a 10 inch wheell(tire too) i can see fit. Maybe not w a 295 but surely a stretched 275 or 285 w the right spacing.
Heck, Carl C's has 275 s all around if i remember correctly...

My car is not tubbed - I have 11 inched from inner tub to fender lip. A 10 inch wheel is 11 inches wide. I am going to roll the lip on the fender, but that only gives me about .5 inch. So, if i did a 10 inch wheel and found a wheel that I liked with the exact perfect offset/backspacing the tire would have to be exactly the same width as the rim. I think it's just too tight.
That brings up a good question though - anybody running a 9.5 or 9 inch rear and what backspacing are you using?

Just read the article and it looks like Carlc is running a 275/40/17 on a 9.5" rim on the rear.
