I'm not quite sure where exactly to post this thread or if it is frowned upon to be doing this on the forum, so if I offend anyone for doing this or if the mods find it to be inappropriate, please feel free to delete this post or move it to wherever you see fit.

With that out of the way, a brief introduction about myself and this post. My name is Jeffrey Weidner and I am a junior year mechanical engineering student at Cal State University, Fullerton. As many of the mechanical engineering students do, I am working on our FSAE race car along with about 20 other bright and talented individuals. We are currently in the design phase of our project as well as the gathering resources stage and as one can imagine, it's not cheap. So I come to you guys looking for any sort of support. Be it monetary gifts, discounted parts, fabrication, or even knowledge; anything and everything counts.

I know what a great forum this is and how much I love it, along with all the help and insight it has given me over the years with my nova project. I hope I am not overstepping my bounds by posting this, but I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this. A link has been provided to a .pdf file with a more in depth look at our team, our budget, and tax id information. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected]

Thanks again!

Jeff

That's awesome what you do with Kansas. It's really cool to see everyone's levels of involvement outside of the student's. Thanks for the response, Scott! You have a PM

Right on! It's very noble what you do. Anything and everything helps in this competition and it's people like you that make it possible for kids like us. On behalf of myself and the rest of the CSUF FSAE team, thank you, Scott!

Alright Jeff, very cool program and I got my first insight into the SAE class when USI showed up at Adams Motorsports Park with their car.

I would love to participate by offering my fabrication skills and in any other areas that may be of use to your team. I currently have 2 available motors that I picked up just for this type of build that could be used. A 749 Ducati Motor and a 600 F4i Honda motor.

Please contact me via the information at Fab53.com.

FYI, here are some spy shots of a vehicle for this program. Hope you don't mind Jeff that I include these for the readers to get an idea.

Brett, thank you so much! I will be in touch with my team on monday and let them know as well as see what they need. It means a lot to have people like you contribute. I'll also try to create a Fullerton FASE account on here and let them jump on as well so some of the leads on this project and chime in a give everyone a better idea as to what we need in terms of fab work or anything else. And not a problem at all posting those pictures. Any exposure to the competition is phenomenal. By the way, is the link working that I posted?
