As some of you may know, we will be competing in OUSCI with Tenacity after a week in the K&N booth at SEMA. I've been pampering the car for the most part all summer but with OUSCI on the agenda we decided we better push things a bit and took it to Sonoma Raceway yesterday. The owner of the car, who will have driving duties at Pahrump does alot of trackdays in his EVO, but hasn't really driven the Camaro much at all since completion due to business commitments and our show schedule with it.
With SEMA coming up as well as a video shoot at K&N and a magazine shoot the day before SEMA, we spent about $40 in tape trying to protect the paint. ( I didnt dare tell the K&N guys about our plans yesterday, they would have been more nervous than me! lol)
Well we had a blast with it! I was extremely pleased at how well balanced the car is, considering the baseline suspension tuneup. Its very predictable and all we really messed with is tire pressures.(Although we will probably upgrade from the Strange shocks at a later date)
The owner was thrilled and I have a feeling he will be tracking this car on a more regular basis next year.

I'll have some on track pics later, meanwhile check out the awesome graphics job...

Saw the car in person the other day. For all of you who have not, it's a tired old line, but pictures do not do this car justice. Awesome quality, hundreds of subtle mods that take a while to see, very, very nice car.
Make a point of going to see it at K&N if you are at SEMA, it will be worth your time!

(Although we will probably upgrade from the Strange shocks at a later date)

What is it that you are looking for from the shocks? We can adjust and revalve the shocks, we just need to know what you're looking for.
Strange is aware that the Pro-touring segment is growing and needs to be addressed. We would love some feed back on what you need.
By the way I love this car, it's been my background for a few weeks now, great work.

Steve, really bad ass and great to hear! I saw the car in person at the last GG in Ptown and the amount of work and detail you guys poured on the car is unreal!

Great to hear that the car will actually be used for what it was meant to as well :)

Awesome Steve... Great to hear things went so well. I kinda like the new graphics.

Wish I would of known, I drive by Sears Point twice a day on my way to and from work and would of loved to stop by and watch. But understand you are being stealth and keeping thing under wraps.

I cant wait to see it at SEMA and the OUSCI.

Yeah it was definitely a little out of place, but there were also alot of crazy exotics out that day as well, not too crowded, and mostly a whole lot of fun!:D

After a huge cluster getting out of SEMA, dealing with Las Vegas traffic, driving to Shelby museum and cruising the strip Friday night, We had a blast at Optima! It was a stressful morning wondering if the owner/driver was going to show up on time, he had a wedding he was in Friday night and didnt fly in until Sat morning! We made it, and In my opinion, considering we probably had the least track experience with the car of anyone (The owner/driver has literally less than 15 miles seat time total with the car!) and a pesky sticking front caliper, I think we did quite well. The big highlight was our first place finish in the performance design challenge portion. Truly an honor! Thanks K&N for inviting us and to all of the sponsors for putting on the event. It was also great meeting some new friends:thumbsup:
