Ok, so it's not in 1:1 scale! Money currently prohibits the 1:1 project, so I'm going to express myself in 1:24. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b20/jbb71/Chevelle/100-0005_IMG.jpg
This is the wheel tire combo..it's going to sport a fuel injected 502. In this one, you can see the mini tub in progress.http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b20/jbb71/Chevelle/100-0004_IMG.jpg
Hope I can gain your interest...to help keep mine. I llok forward to your comments.

Thats a cool project I would love to get my hands on a 67 to try some things I might want to do to my 67 chevelle. Keep us posted with updates.

Pete,
I will keep the pics coming. you should pick up the Revell 67, it's a great kit. I have a couple of the 87 Grand National kits that are my test subjects.

where did you get the 65 kit? I haven't seen one except the wagon kit that I had a long time ago.

Tony this is a kit I've had around for years. It was released in the 90's as the stock Z16. Evil Bay is probably the only place to find one these days.

Progress is slow, but I managed to flush all the mating surfaces on the resin 502 engine block.

I've also shaved the body of emblems and door handles.

I want the engine to look very industrial, give me some of your thoughts on colours.
