My wife spent 19 years as a senior director at MSFT.... and our whole house is Apple... iPhones - iPods - Macs... There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about how Apple changed the computing landscape. Mostly because I actually ENJOY using my computers etc.

The other day - I went out to the shop to fire off the new big ass desktop to run iRacing (not an apple product!) --- and I had to do about 17 upgrades and reboots... and I just about fired up the plasma and cut it's stinking head off. Seriously -- I never did iRace.. I was so po'd by the time I got done - not to mention it wasted 45 minutes.

The video was great by the way.

iPhone maps suck by the way!

I was trying to help direct my daughter - who also has iPhone with the new iOS6 on it (as does mine) find a well known address in Arizona.... and no matter how I went about it - INCLUDING actually using my laptop to acquire the actual street address! I could not get iPhone to find it.

JUST STUPID STUPID STUPID on Apples part. Why intentionally go out of your way to piss customers off? Google Maps worked just fine on the phone - leave the damn thing alone... and keep your customers happy!

OMG -- sometimes you have to wonder.

Yeah apple really blew that one. Trying too hard to one up your rival and looks where that gets you.

I have not done the iOS 6 update on my iphone4 specifically so I can keep google maps.... apples maps is terrible indeed. Glad I did not get the 5.

I never cared for the Maps App on the iPhone. I always used my free, user based/user input "Waze" app. LOVE IT. Although, its really a navigation app. So it may not be helpful looking up some place for someone else so you can give them directions and be their navigator from a remote location. ;)
