It's basically a stock Chevelle with a GM 350/330 hp engine, AC. th350 trans, and 3.73... "restored".. guy seems straight.. says new trunk.. underside looks very clean....

This is tempting.... What do you all think??

Don't know how far he is from you, but if you've only seen it on pics, you better go see it in person. They all look good on pics. So, if your talking about a trade, you don't want to lose your shirt in the deal. Beware if he's trying to trade you without seeing your car as well first. Even though your car is sound and all good, he may be looking for a comeup. Otherwise, car looks to be a good deal.

My problem is I have OD, good breaks, etc etc and I'd be trading for a factory 71 suspension......

He is about an hour away... it's a craigslist deal... we are just finding out about each other cars now... no one is 100% commited..

Here's the ad with the old wheels

Is it four wheel drive?

Joking...

INSPECT IT IN PERSON.

Put it on a rack and REALLY look at it in detail. Car is "pretty" in the pics --- and maybe it's just as nice everywhere.

Brakes and an automatic overdrive is easy to change and relatively inexpensive... and there's certainly nothing wrong with the year of that car!

lol
I do like the year....I would inspect it in person.... only problem is that it's sort of a "me-too" car.. I like it and would guess market value to be around $15k? But not sure I want to give up my junk for it.... beside he got kind of quiet when I told him there's no heater in my car.

Are you talking about your Monte for his Chevelle?

Not anymore... he said he wanted 'heat' in the car, so he declined. I don't know that I would have accepted... maybe if it was a 442, but maybe not on a basically stock Chevelle...
