I have working on a few thing's other than Car's. http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/bmock5/chevelleIII015.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/bmock5/chevelleIII014.jpgA few month's ago started build my own 4X4 CNC Plasma Table. The gantry kit came Precision plasma.com,and the control came from CandCNC.com.It took me about 2 months to get all put togather and wired up.And bought a new Hypertheme powermax 85 to cut with. The heaviest material I have cut so far is 1/4".I cut all the C-6 weld in clip chassis parts out with it.The hard part for me has been learning the PC part of it.I also built a roll around stand for my Mitler bros punch and die & louver press.http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/bmock5/chevelleIII018.jpg http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/bmock5/chevelleIII019.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/bmock5/chevelleIII020.jpgI am hoping to be able to adapted the press to work with my Holohan tru-ovals punch's.

First of all that's some nice tools, trying to get some information on a plasma cutting table, looked at the web site that you mentioned and was wondering how does your table perform

First of all that's some nice tools, trying to get some information on a plasma cutting table, looked at the web site that you mentioned and was wondering how does your table performThe table work's awesome. The hard part for me is learning draw in CAD.Once I have the part In a DXF file you download it on a flash drive and plug it in the USB port on the PC.And it's easy.I have about 10K invested in the whole system (including the new hypertherm power max 85 w/machine torch & a hand torch also.It was pretty easy to assem.Give me a call and I can steer you in the direction I went.I havent had the time to spend w/the table I would like too, because I alway seem to have something else to do.Maybe this winter if things slow down I would like too start doing so Cowboy art.

Scott,

You probably already have a 2D CAD program, but if not you may want to check out DraftSight.

It is from the folks that make Solidworks and is free to all users. I'm messed with it a little bit and as far as I can tell it is pretty much the same as AutoCAD LT - -even the commands are the same.

If you ever need anything drawn up in 2D, I'd be happy to help too!

You can always print it on paper to make sure it's what you want before cutting it.

You'll pick up the 2D stuff pretty quickly.
