Hey im Casey im 18 and live in wilkes county, North Carolina im building a 1970 impala for now its a numbers matching car but im going to make it a sleeper with a wild 388 sbc and a mix of umi, global west, and ridetech parts going to leave the paint alone for now but fix a small hole in the !/4 panel

Way to go! My grandfather had a 70 Impala custom that was light blue. Follow my thread above for any tips that may help. You have my support the whole way.

thanks for the support mine is forest green its hard to find a color that looks right for this car so im leaving it as it is:)

i love your car man im not a fan of the late seventies at all in stock form but you really took that grocery getter and made it way cooler than it could ever be from the factory :)

I had a 454 1970 Caprice that I liked alot.

thanks i wish mine was a 454 car but it does have the middle of the line 300 hp 350 its a nice torquey motor to be stock ive had it up to 120 before with the 2.73 gears

It's a photoshop of the planned changes to the stock body (Nomad quarters) and the color of the wheels that will be used.

Ahhhhh, the 2:73 gears bring back memories of my high school days. About 58 mph I could nail the pedal to the floor and grab 1st gear with the 200R4 trans. Then at 82 mph grab second at around 6200 rpm. Then about a 100, the passenger Would think we are done, only to realize we have another gear to catch. Of course this was done at a race track! Build em right and wind em tight!

i love it when people think less of a car by the way it acts when it first takes off but then when you get a little speed built up that baby struts it's stuff haha:woot: damn it feels good to be 18
