I am at the point on the project of addressing the brakes, the car has 4 wheel drums and is stock.I was looking to do front discs and keep rear drum for now I am on a budget.I was hoping to keep the stock spindles and buy a kit that just bolts on.I was wondering what you guys suggest and the best place to buy.I am also looking for replacement shocks.Car is going to be a street diver with a pro-touring theme I just dont have the budget as of now to make it the corner carver I want to build....Thanks for any help.....Steve

ok me along with alot of other here have done this......i did the 98+ ls1 brakes,,,,,you find the parts either new or at a wrecking yard or off ebay ect i spent 70for the frot calipers and brakets.....then you call laramie at precision brakes and he wil hook you up with all the lies you need...the you buy te special braket to bolt to you existing drum hub to mount the ls1 caliper ....50 for that i sell it along with many others.......then you do a tad bit of machining to the drum hub along with addig longer studs to make the rotor fit....then you buy new rotors and pads and you are set with a kiler brake setup just like the name brands sell just with no name.....the 98+ls1 cars also bolt srtaight into th rear...i am doing this also so i have about so i have abot 300 rapped up into my front brake job some have a little more i just got some good deals...if you need mroe info pm me or email me at [email protected] go to pro-touring and camaros.net and do a search we have discussed it many many times
