As some of you know I decided I wanted to go Dirt racing at the local dirt track, Bakersfield Speedway. I thought I was going to have put stickers on my car and charge people to take them off to avoid public humiliation. But some of my buddies have come through with sponsorship in way I could never imagine. The size of their sticker shows their support. Thanks again guys. :D

Kenny I hope your sticker lasts through the atleast the 1st heat race. I love the hand made aspect but, I will be on the "wet" dirt. :D :D :D

From this we can see the shop will have plenty of work fixing your bent metal from the track.
Did Kenny paint it or finish it? Nice paper decal.
Must be a little part of a Roadster Shop chassis under this with that small sticker!!

I got to go out an practice last weekend for the first time and I'm not sure I have ever had more fun. It was 102 degrees outside and the track was slick as can be. I'm really excited to get in a pack of cars this weekend. First or Last I know it will be super fun.

Do like I do in a MTB Race start dead last and see how many people you can pick off by the end of the race. Also make sure you stop to help people in need it really ticks people off when you pass them a second time.

The Funny thing is we both probably had just rolled into the work at the same time. The difference being the 3 time zone advantage Marti has.
But I still have to give Marti the respect he deserves for building that baddest Mini Truck on the Planet. When you have this kind of street credit you can show up when you please. JUST SAYIN

Hay Kenny - I'm going to need you to Fax me a new sticker (661) 399-7999. The guy in the 9J car cleanly took your sticker right off the side of my car. As you can see the scotch tape held, but that tire mark shows probably what happened to your sponsorship dollars. Don't worry because on the next lap I gave him the big Chrome Horn for getting into my good side.

Rodger's car received a little more damage than he's shown you, but fear not.... he has worked many late nights to fix it! I was able to sneak out a spy photo of the new sheet metal work.
Please keep in mind that Rodger "bumped" a few people, and he was "bumped" into by a few people. Basically, his car is now showing the effects of the friendly bumping.... OK, OK,... his car is a little shorter now!
Major improvement: he added air extractors in the hood!
Here is the spy photo:

So I had rough night last night. Got caught up in pretty much every incident on the track it seemed. Car had to be pushed off the track after I got tangled up with a some driver development Nascar super star fund raising for his charity. He hit me so hard in the side my radiator slid over a few inches and wrapped the shroud up in the fixed fan and the car would not restart. There was 2 laps left in the race at that point.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt248/ironworksspeed/Hobby%20Stock/IMAG0189.jpg
So when I got out of the car I noticed the left front was pretty badly cambered in. Well I'm guessing this is the cause.

I have heard Ventura is pretty small, But if they get some hobby stock racing going I might give it a Whirl.
I would love to race in that big Hobby stock race Thanksgiving weekend, But I might let someone else drive my car that weekend.
I thought Victorville was no longer running.
At this point I'm pretty happy just running Bakersfield. I'm learning alot.

That to, but just a much different method. I have learned you don't always need big fancy tools. You can do a lot with a big rubber mallet and 2 size 15 shoes.
But I have learned alot about driving loose.....And then the difference between putting 1 half inch wheel spacer on the left and 2, is night an day.
