Hi Everyone,

I thought that I would share this week's podcast show, even though it is in no way related to the world of pro-touring (so I want to admit that upfront). If this thread needs to be deleted as such, please just say the word.

I had the chance to interview John Byrnes last week, and he's the owner and restorer of the only General Lee used in the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie that made a manned jump (i.e. with a real driver at the controls - the rest were launched with a catapult). His car now drives like a normal car again - and actually survived the jump pretty well.

Here's the link:

It's also the car featured in Hot Rod Magazine a few years ago as the most recognizable car in the world. Since I'm assuming there are a lot of "kids of the '80's" on this board (like me) I'm hoping that it will interest at least a few of you!

Thanks!

I can't imagine jumping a car like that. Or restoring one that's been jumped like that.

:faint:
