Anybody own one of these? Thoughts?

Wife need's a new car. Was looking at the BMW 328i also. BMW seemed
very tight inside and not very comfortable.

Any thought on a mid 30 -34k DD
ps really looking for something AWD

thanks

I would take a serious look at the Ford Taurus, you can get it with AWD right in your price range. With the 3.5L that has 288hp and a six speed the car is pretty capable. The new police platform is based off this car too, so you know its inexpensive to service and well built.

James,
thanks for the reply.

Also the Volvo S60 T6 had 300 hp and 325 lbs. The BMW 328i Xdrive seemed underpowerded in comparison. The Volvo front sets were awsome though.

Also the were both preowned with about 6000 miles.

I will chech out the Taurus

Thanks again
John

I'll give my little input on this.

We do have alot of those Volvo here, of course, its made in next door, Sweden.

They are good cars but have a fame of having a little too weak front suspension.

You have to replace in short time cycle a lot of joints, bushlings or arms.

And they are not cheap.

I can tell you this. The AWD BMW are really underpowered, but probably the nicest of your criteria. I would just make sure you get a good shop to do a thorough PPI. We do a ton, but we call them Post Purchase Inspections, because 90% of the ones we do are already purchased. And with BMW,s a lack of maintenance can add up quick. And we find a ton of undisclosed to the customer body repairs.

A friend of mine recently purchased a volvo to flip. We dropped the motor, rebuilt the turbos, all new gaskets and a bunch of other parts.

He has 10k in a car that he cannot give away for 4k. A guy came by to trade a freakin warrior 4 wheeler for this volvo, and HE TURNED US DOWN on the trade. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car, but it's impossible to get rid of.
