I have spoke with venders and manufacturers and each claims to have the best.

They all have good options. I would like advice from customers and people with knowledge on this topic, unlike myself.

I have a 427 69 date block, not dynoed yet but around 500hp to 550hp.

12 bolt or 9"?

I want 3:73 gears, Tru Trac.

Currie recommended 12 Bolt w/9" ford housing ends. I think this would be a good option for having disc brakes.

I read about disc brake knock back and c clip eliminators leaking, do not want either issues.

Will not be a drag car, never autocrossed, but it has peaked some interest for me in the future.

Please help me choose a rear end manufacturer so I only have to this this once with no regrets.

Thanks

There has been a lot of discussion on this subject recently. Here is a pretty good thread on the issue if you haven't already seen it.

The best advice I can give you is to go with a reputable vendor that you know will take care of you.

There is this one??? If your worried about knock back this solves the problem.
May be a bit extreme depending on your intended usage, there are other options. I would go with a 9" they have a shorter and lower pinion which allows the car to be lower with out any contact issues in the tunnel.

I would recommend a 9" floating hub rear end. In that catagory you will find a fair selection of vendors. I'm using a Moser 9" floater which comes complete for $879 and you can specify the width at no extra charge. The GMR it arguably the best full floater 9" rear on the market but it is more expensive than the Moser.

For a car that will never see an autocross or road course, a full floater is wayyy overkill, in my opinion. I would recommend using a floating brake caliper to cure any potential street-induced knockback. 9" or 12 bolt is up to you, but Blake makes some good points about the 9" pinion location.

Currie's recommendation about using the big bearing Ford ends is a good one if you end up going with the 12 bolt.

I bought the Ride Tech level 2 suspension and a Moser 9" from the Moser rep at the Good Guys car show in Des Moines.

Thanks for all the tips.

I would be interested in a T-56 group buy if it comes up:unibrow:
