Hey everyone, I finally got with the program and joined all you guys to talk some "pro-touring" I recently sold a 68 Camaro convertible on ebay that was pretty nice with a lot of pro-touring goodies. However, I am recently building a 69 hardtop with just about everything that DSE sells, including quadra-link,coil-over conversion,mini-tubs etc. etc. I also just got a LS7 427 for the car that was only on my wish list and wasn't really thinking that I could get one. My dad got a call from a friend that has a couple for sale so I bought 1 and probably am going to buy the other to either re-sell or put in another car. One of my best friends is Jeff Trush who has the white and orange 69 convert on this site(that he just sold!!)He has been bugging me to get on this site so I finally did. I'll get some pics of the new project up shortly. Talk to you all soon.-Jeff
Welcome aboard, Jeff. It's about time. :D
I heard about your LS7 deal last Friday. That's awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing more of the car.

Ahh yes...my old nemisis from the Gratiot days. :D
Great to (finally) see you on the net Jeff. Saw your convertible in Super Chevy the other day. I emailed Jeff about it but he doesn't answer his Lotus Notes. :P
Looks like an awesome project. Yet another car I get to be jealous of as I watch my Wilwood brakes slowly rust.

Hey Tony, what's up!! speaking of Gratiot I've been going to lunch with Trexler a little lately (I work with his cousin) Anyway, as you can see I've got quite the project going here. I only hope that I can afford to keep it when it's done(probably not) this stuff never seizes to amaze me what it costs when you stop and add up the bills!! Hopefully will have the engine in by friday so we can finish the exhaust. I,m putting a front mount rack in so I can use the stock oil pan with the dry sump system in tact. After some initial checking, it looks like the factory exhaust will fit. We just have to make a custom collector for the factory oval collector. After that all the fab work should be pretty much finished so I can bring it home, and then its pretty much my baby from there on out.

Good Lord, Ron Trexler...now there's a blast from the past...I haven't seen him in ages. Tell him I said hello. I don't know if you remember Brian Rambo but he still pops by my house in the Summer with his Road Runner to have a few beers and reminisce about the old days. Damn we're getting old. I'm still good friends with Craig and Erik (the twins). But Dennis Perazza (black Cutlass) fell off the face of the earth about 10 years ago. Don't know what he's up to. Actually Erik and I are going to SEMA this year.
I gotta stop by and see this monster your constructing, looks awesome. I'll send you my cell number via Private Message. Check up at the upper right hand corner of this message board where it says "Private Messages".
Good to hear from you online....finally!

We got the engine in last night! I got some pretty good pics. I was going to use the factory exhaust manifolds, but I decided to get headers from street & performance instead. Hopefully will have them in a week or two. Also installed a front mount rack from BRP, now I just have to figure out a sway bar location. I'm thinking something like a speedway front mount. BRP sent the brackets to mount in back, but I think it will hang down to low. Anyway I'm looking for any feed back as I go forward with this thing, if anyone has any suggestions/ideas on anything feel free to voice your opinion. Thanks

:hail: :hail: :hail: to the LS7 what a sweet motor!
I'd really like to know how the install goes, PCM mods and Throttle By Wire etc.
You should run the Hooker or SW longtubes or better the ATS ones if they fit your budget. :unibrow:
Killer car

The ATS ones definately don't fit the already blown budget. I didn't know Hooker made any. Do you have any info on them?
