What Steering joint to use? 67 Camaro

I completly removed the front subframe bushings on my 67 Camaro for a lower stance without losing header clearance. Now the stock steering shaft does not line up correctly. There is too much of a angle for the stock rag joint, so I need a double U-joint.

What double u-joint will best fit my facory manual steering shaft?
Has anyone done this?

You may have to make a new plate for the firewall and run a swivel mount http://www.borgeson.com/xcart/catalog/Column_Floor_Mounts-orderby_0-p-1-c-53.html then a single swivel joint. That will also raise the steering wheel so a tilt column will help or shim the column down at the dash to compensate. Or you could run one of these and do what ever you want for column angle http://www.wizardsteerclear.com/

You will have to measure the shaft and splines on the steering column end and steering box end. There are quite a few different sizes/splines.

I guess im a little lost on this now. I have done some research and it seems that a double u-joint would be too long to fit in between my firewall output and the stock steering box.
Are you guys using rack and pinions when removing the bushings?
I assume I will need a double u-joint to get the angle right?

I didnt think this would be so hard.
